Well, get over it! In my opinion there are few shops, especially Vovlo dealers that offer top quality service in Baltimore. I do not like K & S. asI've had variable experience with them. They, like every other shop (in seems) in the area, like to service your car and then hand you a list of other things that should be done, as if you're insane for driving it out of their garage before it's fixed.
The dealer in BelAir is very competent as is Annapolis Volvo, but they are a trip, or a tow, as the case may be. There are several other independent shops who handle Volvos within the Baltimore beltway. I frankly have not used them.
For routine maintenance items and some repairs, etc. I go to Federal Motors in the Federal Hill area of the city. This is a family business and they arevery competent and will tell you what they will do and what they wont (major engine, tranny, chassis and electrical work. The son Chris has pretty mcuh taken the shop over and has installed lots of state of the art equipment. They are not Volvo Experts, per say, but have a growing clientele of Volvo owners and other foreign car owners. When ever possible I bring them the parts, if I know what is needed (oil change, tune-up.etc). For all major Volvo stuff I make sure I'm in Champaign IL to have my car serviced there. Email if you want other suggests or comments. Welcome to Charm City! We love it here.
