Thanks to all who helped me with the steering wheel alignment problem.

Everything worked out well. Now, Ive been getting this squeeking noise from the power steering belt. It is the belt because when I spray it with liguid the noise goes away. But then it comes back. What is the best way to deal with noise?

Funny, I have exactly the same problem with 940 wagon - it has a new belt and the alignment is OK, but the belt is noisey - I have an aerosol of 'belt dressing' gunk that stops the noise for a short time (couple of days) but then it returns. The belt is not wearing out. I am thinking of trying a wider belt - if I ever do I'll let you know the result!!

I read that you can sand the pulley where it contacts the belt, and that also if you clean the pulley surface with a carb cleaner, something that doesnt leave a oily residue, suppose to help. I did both of these things(Ive also ordered replacement bushings)and everthing quieted down. However, I havent seen the car since, so I dont know what its doing now. will let you know.
