Well no. The main difference is the electronic speedo was introduced in '86. Other than that, not sure what part you want to interchange.

I was thinking of putting a large tach cluster in. Do these interchange with the small tach design??

      thanks

No, if your car is an 80 you will need the exotic and somewhat pricey R-sport cluster with its yellow on black design, to get a larger tach. More difficult to get, but very cool. Let me know if you want to see a pic.

There's one on Ebay right now that has some damage to the circuit board, but if you could fix it, it would probably be very cheap. It's Item #518543451

I think what you mean is that you want to put a post '80 gauge cluster in your '80.

I fiddled around trying to put an earlier style gauge cluster in my '82. It didn't fit. If I recall correctly, the older one was slightly wider and not as tall as the later one. Also a problem was the lights that illuminate the cluster. I don't think it would work the other way round.

Personally, I prefer the looks of the earlier cluster to the later style--plus the one I was trying to put in had a tach, and mine didn't.

Just change the whole dash to a later style one. Then it'll fit. :o)

        Would this help:

        http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=519794069&r=0&t=0

If this will work with your car, then you wouldn't have to swap gauge clusters. Also, I noticed you covered up the license plate on most of the pics on your website, but you missed one, the after shot of the tail lights.
