Brake junction block 200 84

Has anyone out there replaced a brake junction block? I have to do one,I think out of 8 brake line fittings I'll be lucky to get 2 out without damage. I dred the prospect of replacing all those brake lines.

Thanks, Jerry

Like Randy, I also had a relatively easy time with these connections. The lines from my flex hoses to the front calipers were bad - I had to cut all but one. But all the lines from the junction block went smoothly. Use a quality penetrant and flare-nut wrenches, and you should be in good shape.

Follow Randy's suggestions, plus make sure that you can move all the fittings before you start taking everything apart. 'twould suk to find that the last line has to be broken, and you don't have the line you need, and no brakes too boot.

Jerry,

I've done it and I got lucky in that I was able to get all the lines loose. Clean the entire assembly up with a wire brush as much as possible. Soak with a GOOD penetrant over a period of days- I use Kroil others prefer PB Blaster. Purchase a high quality line wrench- do not attempt this job with an open end wrench. Good luck.

Randy
