OEM All Weather (Fog) Lights 700 92

I am looking for information regarding the factory accessory All Weather fog lights that mount under the bumper on 90-92 740's. They are encased in an aerodynamic looking housing. I have seen them on some 960 models and am interested in putting them on my 92 944. I believe they bolt directly to the from spoiler with no brackets as used in earlier 740/760 models. I am not sure about the quality of these unit, they may be made by Bosch. I am looking at these in lieu of some good Hella's because I have not found a way to install the Hella's under the bumper yet. Anyone know where they can be purchase and what the Volvo Part Number is?

thanks, John

Re: OEM All Weather (Fog) Lights 700 92

Beware,I bought on ebay,and it's still available too,a 740 90+ fog lamps kit for 75+$.

However,I found out later that you have to have a GT special edition front spoiler for them to be direct fit.Otherwise,I am still contemplating on how to fit this kit on the GL bumper, special clamps or drill hole thru bumper which I am hesistant to do,but may be forced to.

Tom!!!

Expect to pay around $200 or so - that's what they were going for the last time I got a quote.

Thanks, did you install them on your 940? or did you install something else?

Re: OEM All Weather (Fog) Lights 700 92

I haven't installed them - yet. I feel that upgrading the headlights themselves to the Euro/glass versions is probably more worthwhile for me. The Euro lights are pricey ($300-something for the lights, $200 or so for the corner lights, and you also need new grille, new radiator top support to grill filler (sounds expensive but is just that piece of plastic with four plastic 1/4-turn screws in it that gets replaced with one with two screws), left and right headlight support brackets, left and right grille support brackets, and about 16 female pin terminals. Most of those things are available at my pick 'n' pull.

I may still get the fogs sometime. They look really slick, and are purported to be better-than-average. They just don't fit in my budget right now.

Re: OEM All Weather (Fog) Lights 700 92

Go to the Volvo website. Under "Owner Connection" you can get a list of all accessories for your model with the parts numbers. I would then suggest going to borton.com for a price quote. They were $100 cheaper than my local dealer for the fog lights on my 240. You can also try alloemparts.com and gapa.com, but Borton was right in line with their price ($146 @ borton, $145 @ gapa, and $164 at alloem).
