Intermittant Limp Home? 200 88

I've been chasing this intermittant problem in my 88 240 for way too long.

After stopping at an intersection, and ready to pull out on a 4 laner, the engine goes to idle. Accelerator has no effect. Only answer is to turn ignition off and back on quickll (even while in gear) and we're back. (pants sometimes need to be changed at this point.)

Seems to be fuel related... Sometimes on acceleration, seems to run at less than full power; again, quick shut-off and on seems to remedy.

Things I have tried: Air mass meter, ECU, in tank fuel pump and filter, usual grounds on intake manifold, cleaned and put die-electric at connectors,

Now I'm wondering if coolant temp sensor could be cause.

Would love any help before losing more hair..

Thanks in advance!
