740 has numerous problems all at once? 300 91

Well, the title says it all. Everything was fine with our 740 and with a few days all hell broke loose.

The brakes are too mushy, and pedal travel is too far. No screeching though. Lower speed braking is okay. But sudden, or high speed, or hard braking, or downhill braking produces a pulsating effect. I assume bleeding, pads, and maybe rotors, and/or a suspension part is needed.

Pulling out from a stop produces a rumbling turning noise without any other apparent symptoms to go with it, just the noise, like an omen of an impending problem to come. Wheel bearing?

The car refused to start the other day. When it finally did, after getting a jump, the starter wouldn't stop starting as if it was stuck, and it was grinding away until I shut it off. Do they get completely frozen? I have been telling my Mom for two years now to release the key after it starts. She claims she does and it has been just sticking on its own (?)

Time for a new starter or can it be repaired? What part of it gets repaired? DIY doable ?

The OBD is also giving me a idle air valve code (no check engine light, though). Take it out and clean it I guess, right?

That's about it for now. Thanks. I know you guys here have been dealing with all this same stuff time and time again (been there done that), so I didn't bother to go into much more detail. I figure you know what the drill is and will advise as best as you can.
