240 seat swap a breeze 200 1975

Volvo dealer man said '75 - '82 240 use the same seats, so i just replaced my thrashed and smashed '75 vinyl jobbies with a pair of nice cloth '82 seats. takes a whole 5 minutes a seat, and most of that is removing the little plastic cover off the back without breaking it. been a lot of talk about seats on here... it's pizza cake. go for it!! FOR SALE: 75 volvo seats. rough. lol... -Rob '75 green B20-powered 245

FYI, 75-93 front seats all mount the same. I believe rear sedan seats also mount the same. There were some changes in the wagon back seats but the basic mounting is similar through the model range.

Hi Bob. Are you saying that rear seats from a saloon would fit an estate (or could be made to fit without too much fuss). I've often wondered. Hank Marvin = Starvin'. Rich.

Of course, you could put '83-'85 seats in there too, since they're the same as the '78-'82 seats, or you could put '86-'93 seats in, since the only differences are in the height of the seat back and the headrests. My dark green '73 145 has some '84 240 black leather seats in it. Looks pretty nice.
