1989 760 GLE oil leak 700 1989

Hey guys, I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a way to tell if a oil leak is severe or not. Or, tell me where the leak is coming from. I hope the leak is coming from the oil pan gasket (cheaper than a rebuild). I don't know if its a bad leak or not, I had to put in a quart or oil in after about a month and a half...is that bad? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: 1989 760 GLE oil leak 700 1989

Try shampooing the whole area with some engine degreaser and then pressure washing it at a car wash. Then drive it and watch for new oil. Also put a sheet of cardboard underneath it when you park. If you lost a quart and a half from your pan your driveway should be a total mess...

I saw pretty cheap oil pan gaskets for the B280F at alloemvolvoparts.com...

Good luck!
