What kind of Radio/CD Player works the best with a 1988 240DL? 200 1988

I want to replace my stereo and was wondering what kind works the best. Also I was wondering if anyone has replaced the radio themselves and if it is complicated to do.

Thanks.

Adam

I've got one better. If the factory head isn't working (like mine didn't when I bought the car)then you can cut the harness from the factory head and match it to the new head and then just "plug and play". Repost if you want the wire diagram. Oh by the way, I've got a Pioneer DEH-3100 in and it sounds good. But of course I replaced all the speakers too. Also try posting in Aftermarket, a lot of experience there also.

Easy to do it yourself with no wire cutting if you have the right wiring harness. Go to cructhfield.com and they'll give the right harness, faceplate and instructions on installation for free provided you buy the stereo from them.
