Re: Raido 700 87

/// Depending on the type of display you have it may just be the dimmer circuit in your dash. LCD displays require back light. Backlight is usually supplied by bulbs hooked to the dimmer circuit.

What is the cassette/radio problem? If it is a mechanical problem it will be better to trade. If electrical it could be a second fuse behind the radio. Just that simple, possibly?

Re: Raido 700 87

if you take it to the volvo dealer you can exchange it for a new one of the same tyoe (they give you a core exchange) if the display isn't working it has probably died (though you may want to see if you can chack the solder joints before deciding that). The exchange price may still be higher than what you want to pay though (I think I paid about $100.00 can for it when I did it four years ago). Anyway chack with your local dealer and see what they say, otherwise I would suggest either living with it the way it is or getting an aftermarket stereo.
