Cheap New or Used headlight source 900 93

My brother has a 93 940 Turbo wagon and has holes in the front glass part of(both) his headlamps and wants replacements. Is there any chance of repairing these holes? Anyone know of any good sources for good used ones. If used are not available, any source for cheaper new ones. The dealer wants a lot of bucks for new ones. Any information or ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Now HERE, on the other hand.... 900 93

THIS is different than the God Awful $30 switch.

Those H/L's are going to cost you a GRIP! You have to get them in pairs... well... perhaps not YOU BOB, but most would get a matched set so the car doesn't look stupid with one new headlight and one funky yellowed old one.

I have heard rumors of replacement, front panels only, glue them onto the old reflector and base, not seen them yet.

Also, an aftermarket supplier I deal with was bragging last week about being able to get aftermkt H/L's for Volvo's... I challenged him with a Visa Card Number....suddenly.... they "Weren't in yet". We'll see.

In the meantime you can take them out and repair the chips and holes with a pourable methyl-acrylate, UV cure filler that will dry and remain clear.

It a fairly onerous job, one you'd probably like.... hehehe, when your done rebuilding that switch..... but it would buy you some time until the aftermarket...whatevers are an option.
