Looking for a M90 transmision 200 1988

Does anyone have any hints on where one can be obtained?

What would it cost?

    Hello,

the M90 is very rare outside of europe but it would be possible to have a used unit shipped over. In Sweden they run about $600 USD. They came in late 940 turbos and some 960 2.5s, maybe some 2.9s.

    Good luck!

I've heard of it mentioned before BUT it's never been used on ANY Volvo in the US. Why do you want one for an '88 240?

I am putting a 230ft in the car that will use about 12 pounds of boost.

Right now it has a straight 5 speed.

You have the M47 trans and that trans was never used with a turbo (by Volvo) in any US car as it's not very strong.

The turbo cars in the US used either the M46 (a 4 speed with OD, not a true 5 speed) or the AW-71 automatic trans.

The AW-71 auto trans is a very durable trans and my personal favorite over the M46.
