Would a turbo diesel head go on to a non turbo with out modification.

What about timing the engine/fuel injection? Thanks!

Re: Diesel head swap 200 1983

It will fit, but what is your purpose of doing so? I don't know all of the exact details, but I do know the turbo motor has a much lower compression ratio. Part of this comes from different pistons. In most makes of cars, the head configuration is different from turbo and non turbo. I have both diesel engines in two different cars so I know a tad bit about it. Not a lot and wouldn't even pretend to be an authority about it. I would be skeptical however. I do know that most of the internals are different, even though most will bolt right on. It sounds like a major headache and expense. Best bet is to locate the right head and then you know.
