front door stop 900 1993

I have a broken left front door stop on my 940 wagon. Has any one any experience with replacing one of these. Mine broke off at the top of the U turn. I hate to go to my local dealer to find out it is only parts supported by getting a whole new hinge assembly.

    Lloyd,

    Sorry to give you the bad news but you have to replace the hinge as the spring is not available alone. I think a new one is about $60. You can take a chance and try a used one but it may not last long. I got a used one from B & D auto in Shirley, MA for $25. with delivery included. New or used you will probably have to paint it to match so add on another $13. for a can of Volvo spray paint. Good luck.
