Glowing Upshift Dash Light AW71 700 1989

My 89 745T with AW71 has an upshift light for when the OD is off. The light is glowing a bit even when the OD is on. Does anyone have any ideas as to why or how to fix?

I also have a dash light bulb that is out. The one that lights up the water temperature and that side of the instrument cluster does not work. Swapping to a known good one seems to make no difference. I would have to suspect the metallic conducting film/board.

Thanks,

Philip Bradley

Its the OD relay. Solder it don't replace it. Plenty of info on this in FAQ.

Agree that it must be the tracking on the plastic. Inspect carefully for breaks and clean where the bulb holder contacts it. Bulb holder OK?

Good luck
