Trim above bumper 200 89

Any idea when the three trim pieces that go above the bumpers changed? I went to my local yard over the weekend and pulled the pieces off of an '85 to put on my '89 but the size (height) is different! The trim on my car is falling apart (one from an accident and one from age) and I'd like to replace them (without paying the price of new).

You need 1986 or later.

I believe that they changed about 1988, bot not 90% sure. My 90 rear bumper rusted out & I put a 85 bumper on with all the 85 trim. You end up with a couple of spare clip holes than need to be plugged in the body, but it works.
