Need 240 cup holders(?) and info on obtaining 100,000 mile grill plate 200 85

Nuff Said....Cup holders no longer made? Well, thats what my Central Ohio Dealer states...and where would they go anyways on a 240 DL?

I owned another 240 years ago, and got my 100,000 "commemorative plate" for my grill in the mail...how do I go about requesting one?

Email me if you can...bradbees@hotmail.com

!00,000 mile badges...The years ago part is right. I doubt they give those things away any longer.

You need to get out and drive that thing more it should have over 200.000 by now! I have an 86 with 234,+000 and I don't think Ford has a clue on how to keep their so-so cars bodies together 100,000 mi. They are just lucky the engines push past 120,000 without major headaches.

Good question is, do the new Volvo front wheel drives have their bugs worked out before.. we.. the consumer figure out how to make them last longer!

Volvo has made a lot of changes trying to catch the eye of the new buyer and forgetting what built the car "you can beleive in"

The inline four is built bullet proof and it got that way because it was their main stay engine for the people, who desired dependable function, before flashy design changes.

Volvo has always purchased from other manufactures just like the others.

Volvo could have done better in the plastics department but that changes faster than the score in a basketball game.

The 4 cylinder engine people at Volvo were the best in the world and they built Volvos reputation, the safety thing has been pushed almost even.

When I see these 4WD cars and diesel trucks creep over speed bumps I have to ask, is it marketing or what?

Besides if you can't build a great car for less than 25,000 you are only profit minded. Thats where it seems, that all things are trying to go.

100,000 200,000 is a pride thing. Swedish built or American or whoever I feel good and wear my own badge knowing that I can recognize the real good and keep it close to the heart in my life! Drive on!

There used to be an online web form on Volvo's corporate website that you could fill out. I poked around for a few seconds and couldn't find it, but maybe it's hidden. I'm thinking, though, that the last time I saw it was before the Ford buyout, and they've revamped their website since then, so it may have disappeared for some reason. Perhaps Ford dislikes the idea of cars that last beyond 100k. :)

I used the online form about 6-8 months ago to get my badge, but then they changed the site a little and got rid of the online form, and now they've completely changed the site, and the link to the high mileage section won't even work for me.

Cupholders:

1) you can use the front section of the door pocket for a bottle of soda

2) husco.com

3) OEM cupholders (it's an armrest that has cupholders at the front edge) are available from Voluparts in Atlanta -- I don't have the number, but they always have an ad in Rolling

Badge:

Try the parts desk of your Volvo dealer.

I use the door pocket as a cup holder, but if you have something that won't fit, I don't have any suggestions. The section of the door pocket nearest the front of the car is just the right size for a can of soda.

You can get a registration form for the high mileage badges from your local Volvo dealer. There's also an 800 number you can call, but I don't have it (someone posted it here a few days ago, so maybe he'll post it again). It might be on the volvocars.com website, but I haven't located it.
