girling brake booster 1800 1968

out of necessity(and lack of money), i have to rebuild my brake booster. (i actually found a rebuild kit). does anyone out there have any secret tricks to help keep this job from being a nightmare?

Its a nightmare, won't work properly afterwards and you are dealing with a single circuit brake system. My honest advice would be to either bypass it completely, these servos were an option on the 120/Amazon with the same brakes, or fit a lockheed or PRB servo.

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I honestly believe these servo are past their sell by date. A few years ago I bought a brand new one and blew it inside 6 months. I have tried rebuilding them and they put the brakes on all by themselves. I have tried one rebuilt by a professional servo rebuilder and all the brake fluid disappeared into the engine. I know life is cheap nowadays, but personally I wouldn't stake mine on a Girling servo.
