When I first got my 740 GLE, and the power windows were really slow. Soon, the windows stopped working all together. After consulting a local mechanic, I took the housing off of the wire bundle going from the body into the drivers door. Sure enough, there was a broken wire. I soldered it back together, and the Windows and Central locking system started working again! The windows were working faster and the Central locks are nice. About a week later the Central locking system stopped unlocking the trunk, then stopped working all together, and so did the windows. Next step was to unwrap the wire bundle again, but the wire was still intacked. I then took apart the door, and cannot find anything visibly wrong with the system. I have also cleaned the switches, so it is not that. If anyone has any suggestions, I need to roll down my windows.
