Grease on brake rotors 700 86

Hi everyone - I just replaced the rear rotors and brake pads on my 1986 740 GLE sedan. Not a bad job, but I think I managed to get some anti-sieze stuff on one of the rotors - not a lot, just a smudge or two - should I disassemble and clean it and the surface of the pads before it does any damage, or will it wear away on its own?

i'd wipe off what i could get to & spray the rest with brake cleaner or degreaser then forget about it

    Darius,

It will not do any damage to the rotors, but it may reduce the braking efficiency of the pads. I'd pull the pads, clean the rotors and see if it's possible to clean the pads. It might depend on how porous the pads are.

I agree with the other poster. Just squirt some brake cleaner on it and forget about it.
