oil leak 200 84.5

I AM RATHER NEW TO THIS SITE , SO I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS THE PROPER PLACE TO POST QUESTIONS. ANY WAY HERE IS ONE. MY WAGON IS A TURBO AND HAS AN OIL LEAK THAT I CAN'T DUPLICATE ON MY LIFT. THIS LEAK ONLY OCCURS AFTER DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND YOU COME TO A STOP, ONLY THEN CAN YOU SMELL THE BURNING OIL. I HAVE REPLACED THE OIL FILTER WITH A FACTORY FILTER AND TIGHTENED IT TO THE CORRECT TORQUE. BUT STILL I HAVE A LEAK. ANY HELPFULL HINTS? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

Re: oil leak 200 84.5

If you smell BURNING oil then IT probably is LEAKING around the TURBO oil feed LINE or the turbo DRAIN (return) line....and please NO CAPS LOCK!!!!!!!!!

Re: oil leak 200 84.5

Yes, you are posting in the correct forum. If the oil is leaking out from around the oil filter seal, you need to make sure that none of the old seal is stuck to the engine block. That can prevent the new oil filter from sealing properly.

Good luck, and PLEASE STOP TYPING IN ALL CAPS.
