high pitched noise 200 1986

I have a 1986 240 wagon. At idle or low revs there is a high pitched sound coming from what appears to be the fuel rail. This is not belt squeal. The car runs fine and once it revs up the noise goes away. Any ideas what it is and possible corrections.

Thank,

Irv

Re: high pitched noise 200 1986

u may be right it could be a vacuum leak. i just wasnt aware that a tiny leak could emit such a high pitched whistle.could it? If there is a leak its probably at the intake manifold gasket. are they hard to replace? how do u go about doing it?
