Try looking at rear of radio. I think there is a button that activates the clock.

Umm, there's a button on the FRONT to activate the clock.

I need to set the TIME on the clock.

Re: CR-712 radio Q.-duh 200 90

Evan,

I *think* I have the owners manual for the CR-712 at home somewhere, but it will be the 14th of December until I am back there. Can you wait that long?

I can tell you the process is complicated, to the extent that I did not bother to set it. I assume that you have a tach on the gauge cluster? And what the hell are you doing with a 90 240 anyway?

yep.

Nope. A Not-always-accurate clock :)

> And what the hell are you doing with a 90 240 anyway?

Got it from fellow lister Angelo L. in Chicago. He has an 1800 and an S70, and wanted/needed a minivan. 4 cars was too many for him.

Car needs major front-end work. 224k, and it's all original!

I felt his asking price to be a bargain. I originally got it for my wife, but she likes her '86 better.

Put the clock in time mode. Press the clock button for at least 1 second. The time is normally displayed. If a tuning change is made, the frequency will be displayed for 5 seconds, then it will revert to time.

With the unit in time mode, press the "m" button.

Press the clock button within 5 seconds.

Set the hours with the tuning button.

Press the clock button.

Set the minutes with the tuning button.

Press the clock button to set the seconds to zero.

Good luck

Ed
