brakes 700 85

I have a 85 740 GLE, and there is something wrong with my brakes. I have replace the pads all that way around. The calipers move freely. When I am driving and apply the brakes the car pull to the right, but when I get out and check it is the left that is hot and smoking. What could be causing this?

If anyone can offer suggestions please e-mail: haynes.edward@excite.com. Thak you for you time.

Re: brakes 700 85

I agree with Winston. The reason it pulls to the right is due to brake fade from the "hot" rotor, therefore therefore there is more braking force on the right.

Ed: Change the rubber hose from the car body to the calipers, they collapse on the inside and only allow fluid from the master cylinder under pressure to flow to the calipers and will not release pressure off the caliper. Good luck
