How much should head work cost? 200 84

Well, not my head but the Volvo's...

I am going the route of taking my 84B-21FT's head to the machine shop to have those four broken manifold studs removed.

While I'm there I want them to look at the head and do any work that needs to be done.

Assuming that the head isn't damaged and I have a valve job done and new seals installed (I have the option of providing the gasket set) what should the work cost to essentially rebuild the head?

I realize there are variables involved but I'm interested in a ball park range just so I don't collapse from sticker shock or look like I just fell off the turnip truck with the head in my hands. (Ouch!)

I still need to evaluate the condition of the rings but I'll save that for another post.

Thanks as always,

Down south in chad land, a rebuilt head off the shelf with all seals, valves and a year warranty is $300. If you have yours done, they rebuild the whole thing for about $200. I had one with broken studs, embedded "easy outs" (not) cut out and rewelded, resurfaced and tested for $100.
