High Beam Indicator 700 87

High beam indicator light does not work; took bulb out and it is good. Is there a unit (where?) under the hood that operates the indicator? Thanks

George

Re: High Beam Indicator 700 87

There is no separate switch for this. The wirng connection is made at the back of the fuse block. Fuse 17 feeds the LH high beams and the indicator light. There mis a separate wire connected at the back of the fuse block for the high beam indicator. Fuse 18 feeds the RH high beam. You may have a bad ground, a bad connection at the fuse block, or at the instrument panel connector. Are you sure the lamp is good? Sometimes the lamp socket can twist too far in the socket in the instrument panel, and not make a good connection.

Re: High Beam Indicator 700 87

it's triggered by power to front lights on high beam.

Are your high beams on but indicator is not?

If your high beams are not on and indicator is not on (usual case) chances are it's the headlight relay.
