under carriage damage 900 92

yesterday while yielding to oncomming traffic , i had to pull over far right and the road was totally covered in leaves from huge trees in the area..(the city was on strike 60 days so no road works) anyways..under the leaves was a huge branch about the diameter of a baseball bat but longer (around 4ft)..it ended up smacking the under carriage rather hard twice..

while i couldnt see any damage cause it was dark..i could hear a loud pinging sound when i shut the engine off..and today when i looked under the car in the light (with engine running) it appeared that there is a small exaust leak (where it meets catylic conv??) any ways any ideas??

also when i looked under the hood it appeared that power steering fluid had oozed out from resevoir..the cap was tight...dont have a clue why it would leak...maybe cranking the steering wheel too long?? maybe damaged hose??

thanks

jimmy 92' 960

On my 965, the oil filter is infront of the crossmember. Remove the belly pan and check that.

How did you drive over the branch? One wheel only, both front?
