Trunk Lid Adjustment 200 1987

Hey ya'll...On my '87 The seam between the trunk lid and the right rear fender is a bit larger on the right side (4-5mm high vs. none)...enough to make the seal not work exactly right, especially when going thru a touch-free car wash. So...how do you adjust the thing so it sits a little lower in the back (close to window.) I see all those holes and stuff on the supports, but I can't figure out how to adjust. Thanks for your help.

Frank

Re: Trunk Lid Adjustment 200 1987

Side to side/fore/aft and hight at front edge near window adjustments are carried out by loosening the hinges under the hatshelf and on the trunk lid and repositioning the lid. I have seen worn hinges cause alignment problems. The mounting holes for the hing to body and lid to hinge are oval shaped and allow quite a bit of movement. Hope this helps.
