radio light 700 1992

The indicator light on the radio dial that illuminates the station number no longer glows green. I can't read the frequency at night. everything else seems to work fine. Is this something that can be fixed with out major surgery (read just change a bulb) or should I learn to live with it? Thanks for the help.

    Re: radio light 700 1992

Each radio model is different but many Volvo radios use a fluorescent display which does NOT use a light bulb. I had a similar problem on my TD-6141 and had to repair the voltage regulator circuit (inside the radio) to the display.

If yours is readable during the daylight, then you have the backlit LCD type and what I said above doesn't apply to yours.
