Front End Noise 200 85

My 203K mile favorite has developed a new noise. When cold, and at very low speed, you can hear the right front suspension "screech" as you turn the steering wheel. It's kind of like a bushing squeak, or that 'stick-slip' noise of a rubber squeegee. It is also noted on some up-down suspension action.

Car has 1.5 year old KYB Gas-a-just strut inserts, strut bearings, and ipd anti-roll bar. All were professionally installed.

Where would you start fixing this one?

Re: Front End Noise 200 85

Possible dry/rusty tie rod or end. Have a helper bounce the car as you grab the tie rid between the rack and the strut. You will feel vibration as the components move. Sometimes you can isolate rod or end by disconecting the end from the strut and moving the rod itself, but most of the time it needs to be loaded to hear/feel the problem.

/// There is something rubbing on something else in there. (Joke) Get some rubber lube and spray everything. Look for small rocks or other trash caught between the front spring and the strut housing.

Rubber lube is used to mount tires.
