Hello on a 89 740 turbo will the computer allow you to get codes for electric problems? If so how is it done and are there a stardard set codes for this year?

Your '89 turbo was the last year turbo car with the older LH 2.2 fuel system, no self diagnostics. In '90, the turbo cars had that feature.
