Climate Control 700 87

Help! Have 87 760T and heater does not work. Actually, first noticed that fan speed did not change with temperature as it used to do, then noticed that heater did not work. Hot water is getting to heater control valve, bukt little if any vacuum; valve works, I checked it with different vacuum hose. Even with heater control valve wired open, no heat. What goes on with system. Thanks.

    Re: Climate Control 700 87

I just fixed my no heat problem in my 87 765T. I dont know if it is related to yours. In my case the heater core was clogged. I could feel the hose going into it was hot, but the one coming out was cold. I hooked a couple of store bought hoses to the heater core and then hooked the garden hose to it and flushed it forward and back. It fixed the lack of heat problem but soaked my floor boards with water. I believe the water must have gotten through the firewall. Lots of towel soak ups and four fans mounted under each seat dried it out.
