car sits too low 1800 70

My exhaust silencer is "sitting" low. It is new and well attached. There is not much clearence between road (6in). Is this normal? Sometimes I scrape the pavement when going up onto a driveway. Is there anything (springs etc.)I can do to raise the car,or should I leave it alone.

This is not uncommon, however the centre box, if it follows th original design is handed with the in and out pipe being off set in the ends of the box. the tallest part of the end should be nearest the floor
