Anyone know tool supplier for Tool 5284, crankshaft lock 700 1987

SPX won't sell to the consumer and the dealer does not sell it anymore. I hate to tackle a job without the proper tools. Anyone got a link or a phone number?

Thanks.

IPD has a strap wrench that I ordered that looks like it will lock off crankshaft pulley okay.

That particular tool is a pain in the neck to use. You can either remove the support bracket between the engine and trans and lock the ring gear with a screwdriver, or give me your address and I will make you a tool that is easy to use, and costs alot less. I will use the new Ipd VX cam I have as the lever. Wow...I finally thought of a useful purpose for that *%^$^&%% camshaft.

I have used Don Foster's "rope trick"

      It works excellently

"...looks like it will lock off crankshaft pulley okay..."

If it locks really well, you'll probably tear apart the rubber damper.

      Consider the "rope trick."
