Splash shield info needed 120-130 1987

I recently looked under my 1987, 760T to change my oil. There is nothing under the oil pan, or under the front of the vehicle protecting the pulleys, etc.

Do I need to install a splash shield (stupid question, eh?) If so, would anyone have a pic of how it went on, or would I be able to figure it out okay on my 1987 Wagon?

Suppliers?

Thanks, this is a great resource.

Re: Splash shield info needed 700 1987

i think a splash pan would be helpful. i just ordered one for my 240. i think it is a good idea for dirt, snow, water, etc. why not? more protection, in my opinion.

you can order a 700-series pan from ipd, or maybe even another supplier. ill bet there are many. try www.gapa.com also. it is a black ABS plastic pan. it is $42.50 from ipd, and, although i am not sure, the bolt holes should already be in the locations for the pan. you should be able to hold it up into place and see the holes. you may want to verify whether the holes are predrilled or whether you'll need to drill them. you'll need to order bolts also, so ask them how many and they should be able to supply them as well. ipd phone number is 1800 444 6473. part no. is CQ3526345. bolt and washer (two required) part no, is CQ945444 ($2.80 each)

    happy driving my friend

    bryan

If it's at all like the 200s and I think they are identical. It's very easy. If you look under there you can probably see the screws holding the remaining bits of plastic from the old one. IPD sells them.
