Ignition failure 700 1985

I have a problem with the ignitionsystem. There are no spark from the plugs, and i have tried a new "blackbox" whitout any luck.

Sometimes the car can start and run for a few days, or a few minutes. But now it wont even start.

I wondered if any of you have had this problem, and can help me????

Similar symptoms in my 87 745 gle. After tracing all the wires, checking sensors, trying another ecu, it came down to the Hall generator in the distributor. No problems since replacing it.

Fuel pumps running? Tach moves slightly while cranking? If no to both prime suspect is the Hall sensor in distributor or power stage mounted on inner fender.

If you mean by black box the ignition contrl unit (computer) under dash you made an expensive guess.
