Looking to buy a 142S...insights? 140-160 1970

Anyone have any hints, ideas about buying a 1970 142S? I have information about the car, it's said to be in good shape, little rust on rear quarters, floors good, etc. but anything else hidden that I should look for? Thanks.

Rob

    Rob,

You're talking about a 30 year old car here. Most important at this point is the structural integrity of the car. Rust is a BIG factor. If one were to do a full restoration of a 70 140, one could spend $20-30K. I see these cars all over in rust free, drive home condition, for around $600.00

    What is the asking price?

Asking $800...it is an interrupted restoration. Primer grey body, winsheilds/trim removed, engine complete, rebuilt in 91...hasn't been on the road since. $800 bucks...so I should wait?

      Rob
