Carrier Plate - Did I Screw Up 900 93

While looking for a way to jam the flywheel for a timing belt change, I distorted the carrier plate a little. I pushed it back as best I could. Drove car around, all seemed well. This was 5 days ago. Today, while driving wife reported call suddenly lost power. I drove it later, found it started right up, ran well, and then after about 15 minutes, lost power, did not die, but ran rough with little power. Checked codes for injection and ignition (Regina/Rex), no fault codes, all was well.

This sounds a little like some fuel injection relay symptoms, so at 7+ years of age, ordering that was easy to justify. But I'm thinking that maybe the carrier plate distortion is coming into play here (although there are no fault codes). Anyone got any thoughts and/or advise on the carrier plate/speed pick-up thought. Figuring I'm in for some bucks, if that has to be replaced. Thanks.

scope the crank sensor. it should look just like the the teeth on the ring gear. any wobble you see might be enough to make the ignition sqruilley. if that was the case, im suprised it runs. good luck, chuck.

I always feed nylon rope into a spark plug hole works just fine. Not sure what you mean by the carrier plate? Might not be related.. could be an old CPS sensor is worn?
