Hi,
Can anyone confirm the size of adapters that I would need to install Cetus wheels ( 6.5 - 15 -43 ) on my 88 240. I seem to recall someone telling me 25mm, but my memory sometimes fails me. Never having used adapters, is there any reason not to use them other than the expense ? The wheels were gifted from an 850 going to scrap and the car in question needs 4 new tires.
On a related matter, I've been running 195-60-15's on the front of my 90 240 wagon. Inner and outer tie rods, as well as ball joints were replaced 2 years ago followed by an alignment. It steers beautifully, except that at minimum turning radius it skips a bit. I replaced the tires with a newish set of 185-65-15's, narrower and a bit higher sidewall, and the skip went away. It also seemed a bit better ride, and I'm wondering if the symptoms were due to old tires, or does the 240 just like to have a little more air under it. If so, should I consider 195-65's over 195-60's on the Cetus wheels ?
any advice is appreciated
Pete
