Wiring for head light relays. 700 1992

Hello. I want to install a headlight relay system to run my 940 glass e codes with fog lights in my 1992 740 turbo. What is the best gage of wire to use for this project? Thanks for any information.

Here's the FAQ feature article on upgrading the headlight wiring using relays to mimize voltage drop:
    https://brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/ElectricalLightingHarnessUpgrade.htm

That article recommends 12 gauge. That's what I would recommend, although 14 gauge would probably work fine with negligible additional voltage loss over such a short distance. You really only need that for the load circuit from the battery through the relay, so could use 14 gauge for the other wiring from the dash if you wanted.

Dave -still with 940's, prev 740/240/140/120 You'd think I'd have learned by now
