Is there a way to install the 1992 0r 93 computers and wire harness into an older 240 without removing the dash for under dash wire harness update as well? I fitted all the right stuff for a newer fuel injection including the bell housing for crank sensor, newer front cover and round timing belt, I have the newer 240 to do the dash swap, but before I do has anybody updated without installing a newer under dash harness and cluster? The car is in good shape, just can't find the stuff to keep the old injection running.

and a wealth of good advice. etc.

ECU's from other years may not be compatible, that should be a last resort.

Thanks Bill. I am changing the dash to the modern wiring harness. I have a whole 92 240 wagon that hit a telephone pole when I fell asleep at the wheel, so it won't cost anything but time. That way I will have a semi modern fuel injection system that parts are still available for it. I wish I had the aptitude to send pictures, but I have a hard enough time with my new phone.
