Intermittent stalling after battery died 700 1992

I did something dumb. I left my ignition switched on overnight. Now the engine stalls randomly and today the check engine light came on which is newer than the stalling. Other wise the car runs smoothly with plenty of power. Battery seems to be okay. Did leaving the ignition on damage something or could I have caused tHe problem when I jumpstarted it? Not sure where I should start with tracking this down..

thanks
Max

I would start by seeing what the OBD Check Engine light wants to alert you to:

    https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/EngineOBDCodes.htm

There is always the possibility that there is more than one code stored. After the first three digit code is delivered push the button again and see if an additional code is displayed.

Thanks for the advice sounds like a good starting point. Being a 92 would that be OBD1?
