Clutch chatter 200 1991

I'll be doing a clutch job (along with replacing a failed M47). The clutch that's coming out had chattered a lot pretty much ever since it was new. Are there any brands that are time tested not to chatter? Any that I should avoid at all costs? There are a number of options available at Rockauto, as well as the common Volvo-specific online retailers. Any suggestions are welcome.

I’ve had good luck in the past with Sachs clutch kits (pressure plate, friction disk and TO bearing), plus a new pilot bearing. You might want to have the flywheel surfaced if it’s never been done. Also make sure there is no oil leaking from the main seal or front trans seal as that can cause a chattering clutch.

Ah, it's been long enough since I've had a transmission out of a car that I totally forgot about getting the flywheel machined, thank you for reminding me! Seals are definitely on the ToDo list as well.
