PV 544 Headlight Relay 444-544

I cannot seem to locate the headlight relay on my '63 PV544. I see it on the wiring diagrams, but cannot find it on the car. I have searched the engine compartment and under the dashboard. Can anyone give me a clue where to look?
Thanks.

    Thanks Ron, for your input regarding the headlight relay along with the wiring diagram links. The information at the links is incredible. I have now located the taped off relay wires for the non-existent relay just as you indicated. And now I know why the headlight flasher on the turn signal stalk intentionally does absolutely nothing. I am thinking that I might make the turn signal flasher switch operate my windshield washer pump rather than the switch that some previous owner installed under the dash.
    Thanks Again.

      Dan;

      Where did you find the wires?

      Please take a well lit and focused picture or two of the harness and identifiable area on the chassis, which I can include in the notes to help the next owner looking to retrofit the relay.

      Cheers

        The photo shows where I found two of the three wires that would have gone to the headlight flasher relay if there had been one originally installed at the factory. The black wire comes from the fuse panel and is always hot. The Gray wire returns to the headlight flasher / turn signal switch where the switch serves as a ground.

        Both wires have factory female spade terminals on them for attachment to the non-existent relay. A missing but required third wire would have gone from the relay to the high beam circut if a factory relay had been installed in the American imported PV544's.

    Dan;

    6V or 12V?...if 12V and it is the "Relay for Headlight Signaling" you are referring to or "Relä for Ljussignal" here: https://www.sw-em.com/Wiring_Diagrams_and_Related.htm#544/210_(12V)_Wiring_Diagram, that was not allowed to be installed in the US, so the wires are in the harness and tucked/tapped away...my experience with 544s is limited, so I cannot suggest where to look for this, but a European owner with the Relay installed might chime in with location.

    Retrofitting this function is as simple as finding the location of those 3 wires, and adding the Relay. See also: https://www.sw-em.com/Headlight_Notes.htm#Relay_for_Headlight_Signaling

    Good Hunting!
