Hole in fuel tank 1997 v90 S90-V90

Does anyone know anything about the interchangeability of a fuel tank from 960/v90 from any of the other RWD series cars? Volvo no longer produces or is able to order the part and when I thought I found one in Texas I got a refund explaining the part was no longer in warehouse anywhere in US.

There is a small manufacturer in my town that fabricates plastic cabinets, tables, ets for labs.

They weld plastic - perhaps you can find someone who does this.

I've owned and worked on both a 940 and a 960 (v90 by another name) series Volvo. No longer have the 940 to compare, but the tanks looked quite similar right down to the support straps. Sugg checking parts nos. & availability of 940 tanks
