What if I told you... 900

The chance exists I accidently put a stock NA camshaft into my B230FT engine. If I did, what issues might I expect?

I don't have a clue as to what you might expect. However, I put a head and cam from a B230ft on a NA B230 and did not experience any changes. No difference in performance nor changes in fuel mileage.

I'm assuming you checked the valve clearances and they are within tolerance. If you decide you gave up something by installing the cam from the B230 you can easily swap it back.

Lots of posts on using a turbo cam in the NA engine, but none discussing the other way around. Trying to run down a solution to a drivability issue when I found a “T” cam in my parts bin. Thought I only had one, which got me to thinking…

In that case I guess I would pull the valve cover and compare the lobes on the cam in the head with the T cam from your parts bin.

Perhaps you can even find a letter stamped in telling you which profile it has.

Like this K-cam (which apparently is the same as an IPD VX cam):
