Hi All
On a 94 960 with aw30, anyone know the exact amount to refill after a drain from drain plug? As I recall for the aw71L it was 3.5qts =/-...

    According to the owner's manual available online, for 1994 960 with AW30/40 it's

    Automatic transmission fluid
    Quality : ATF Dexron IIE/III and Mercon
    Capacity : 7.9 US qts. (7.5 liters)

    When you do a drain and simple refill it will be somewhat less.
    For the recommended flush at the trans cooler line on the rad it will be somewhat more. Think more along the lines of 12-16 qts before it runs clear, even more if the trans needs a second flushing soon thereafter to help eliminate long term buildup issues.

      Dave the 7.9 qts is the capacity of the whole system. Similar to the aw71 I will surmise that less than half of that will drain "from the plug". That's why I was asking if anyone had done one and knew.
