The +20 year old rear Monroe shocks are beginning to moist at the bottom, and will probably fail inspection.
Are there any new ones available, Monroe or anything else? I have not managed to find any.
They have been great for supporting heavy load but it looks like I have to go for standard shocks, not air adjustable.
The car had standard shocks from the beginning, upgraded by me.

No luck finding these. Monroe MA814 seem to have been the partnumber for the kit but it is not available around here.
And Gabriel don't seem to have any hi-jackers that fit.

I have a pair I do not want, and would be happy to sell them for pretty cheap. I used them to tow a trailer and was not impressed with the damping or sag prevention, even with newish springs.

I have them all boxed up and was going to list them on Amazon, but they decided individuals aren't allowed to sell car parts.

I'm in Portland, OR.

I appreciate your offering, but since I am in Sweden the shipping cost would probably be rather high.
Probably you also need to spend some time on shipping documentation when sending overseas.

Dear Mila,

Hope you're well. If a US Postal Service Large Flat-rate Box - 61cm x 29cm x 7.5cm - is used, it would cost $105.00 (SKr 925) to get these shocks from West Coast U.S. to Sweden. The boxes are supplied free-of-charge by the USPS.

The customs declaration would be simple: used automobile shock absorbers. I doubt they'd attract duty or VAT on arrival in Sweden.

Dear Mila,

Hope you're well and stay so. The US Postal Service large flat-rate boxes - when used for international shipments - have a weight limit of 20 pounds (9.1 Kilos).

Both Monroe shocks should weigh less than that: a standard shock for a 940 (e.g., KYB #KG5565) weighs about 1.6 Kilos.

If I remember correctly I didn't buy the shocks from Volvo.
It was an aftermarket kit from Monroe.

Monroe and Gabriel are very different between Europa and that in the US.

Offerings are or have been better from both in Europe yet in 2021 who knows if same parts are available.

Check their catalogues.
