After searching and not finding any I made a set of nylon tailgate latches for my my Estate. I was lucky enough to find one of the old broken pieces in the car. As with everything the first set was the hardest, so while I was making that and refining my steps I made a few extras. Is there any interest on the board to purchase sets? My center nylon latch was missing entirely so I made what I thought should be there and it works pretty well. I added a spring for a return for the inside button. If there is interest I can make a few sets and post in the classifieds.

I added pictures to Brickpix, titled Amazon tailgate latch. I have installed them and they work fine. As I said my upper center latch and spring were completely missing. I did some more tweaking of the spring during installation as it was binding on the nut for the attachment screw.

They are not very refined but they work well. If you would like a set I've made a couple extras. Send me a private message. Not really looking to mass produce them. It was just while I made me a set it was easy to do few more.
